Clark Family Update

So here is the annual Clark Family Update...I would call it a Christmas letter, but we missed that deadline. I just went to our blog to check something and saw that people left comments!!...Yes some have been there for months and I never noticed - sorry! The comments were so sweet and wonderful it made me miss all of you so much...it also made me realize how bad I am at keeping everyone up-to-date. So here is my attempt at catching everyone up.

First – we are living in Texas now. Thayne was interviewing with a couple companies last year – we weren’t too serious about moving...more just keeping our options open – but we got an offer from a company in Texas and after much thought and prayer, we felt we needed to move. So here we are. I am happy to report that we are unpacked, our pictures are on the walls, and both of our cars even fit in our 2 car garage!! We love our new home and feel very blessed that our last home sold as quickly as it did.

Evelyn just had her 4th birthday and is just amazing. She talks off your ear, loves to make up stories and songs, and dances everywhere she goes. She has even started to read. She loves anything “Princess” and the color pink. She is just adorable and is a great helper to her parents and younger brothers.

Samuel is 2 years old. He has started to talk more and more and is almost talking in sentences. He loves to dress up in his tiger costume and chase Evelyn (who is dressed up like a princess). They go in circles all over the house. He LOVES Lightning McQueen and Mater, the color green, and playing basketball.

Hyrum is already 9 months old! He can roll, sit, crawl, stand, and cruise...he is sooo close to walking. He loves to see how many stairs he can climb before Mom gets him! He started saying “mama,” “dada,” and “baba” about 2 weeks ago. I think he wants to become more and more mobile so that he can keep up with his older sister and brother...he loves playing with them so much! Hyrum is a very happy boy. He smiles all the time!

Thayne is getting used to his new job and will start on a Master’s Degree in the summer! Erica is chasing after the kids and cleaning up after them most of the time. We love our new ward and neighborhood. We’ll let you know how well we like Texas after the summer!! Winter here has been very different from Idaho. We moved here the day before Thanksgiving and on Thanksgiving it snowed! Two days later it was 80º!! And it’s been like that all winter...We don’t know whether to where a coat or shorts so we have them all ready!
