So while Grandma and Grandpa Clark were visiting last weekend, we were able to go to the Fort Worth Stockyards. We most wanted to see the "cattle drive." We timed it almost perfectly, so we didn't have to wait long... and it's a good thing because Samuel did NOT like the smell of the cows.
We (even Samuel) now laugh about it, but those cows were so stinky, they made Samuel cry - I guess he doesn't remember Idaho! Poor guy! Oh well... next we got to pretend we were in jail - something's funny in even pretending that you're in jail...but we did!

There are a lot of stores to shop at and little attractions to see at the stockyards. So we just wandered around and all of the sudden we hear this LOUD horn honking and we realize that a train is coming and that we are on the tracks! Everyone was on the tracks! So the crowd quickly gets behind the white painted lines and watches as this train approaches. It was a pretty awesome train.
The train turned out to be a big tourist-type train and parked for a while in the middle of the shops. We found the ticket booth for the train and it had this sign up in the window:
Come on, let's hear you say "Happy Tracks Snack Packs" five times fast...
...So while the train was parked, we hung out in a store... when it left we got some much needed ice cream. Mmmm. It was quite warm outside and that ice cream just hit the spot.
Evelyn was even kind enough to share some with Hyrum! Awe!!
Samuel savored every last drop of his ice cream... except those drops that fell on his clothes, or trickled down his arm!
Despite the warm weather and the stinky cows, we had a wonderful time and we are so glad we were able to spend it with Grandma and Grandpa Clark!! We had a wonderful visit with them and were sad to see them go!

That looks like so much fun. I often forget about all the local attractions that are available here. I'm glad your family had a blast, in spite of the stinky cows.
