We have always encouraged our kids to "sit right" in their chairs. We don't like them on to sit on their knees, or putting their feet on the table, or otherwise squirming while they are at the table. Well, they are kids, and whatever we - the parents - want to teach our kids, we must say at least a million times... Obviously, we didn't get our point across to Samuel soon enough...
He was wiggling around in his chair, when suddenly he wiggled to a place where there was no more chair...He fell promptly to the ground. However, my son has such quick reflexes, that he was able to snag his plate and take it down with him. Samuel fell flat on his back, followed closely by his plate - full of spaghetti - which fell up-side-down, right on his head... and thus we ended up with "Spaghetti-Head Samuel."
Now we use the tale of "Spaghetti-Head Samuel" in hopes of preventing other such occurances...
As a side note: Samuel made a full recovery, but sadly, his dinner never recovered.

His poor cheek is so red! Poor Samuel. I wonder if there is a statistic somewhere about the numbers of toddler mishaps at dinner tables. It seems to happen to the best of kids, doesn't it?
