Until we got in our car to leave and it took us 53 minutes to get out of the parking lot, that was pretty lame!
Here are some pictures from the awesome part of the day:
First, we walked around a little. Last year we walked around more. They have all sorts of aircraft that you can actually walk/climb into and look around.
It's not just aircraft either, but all sorts of military vehicles. This picture is from last year. It's Samuel pretending to be shy in front of a race car. This is about when he really started loving race cars, so it was extra cool that he saw a real one! In the background you can see the people in line to climb into that plane and next to it they had a fire engine you could explore! Last year I could barely climb into one of the vehicles because it was so BIG! It's really pretty awesome.
Flash Forward back to this year, these are our good friends, watching the air show.
Throughout the day, they have different pilots and aircraft doing all sorts of demonstrations and tricks in the air and they have commentators who explain intricate details about what the aircraft are capable of and about the cool flight experiences the pilots have. So we had a couple picnic blankets and just watched for hours!!
When we needed to get refueled... we walked back to the car and ate lunch.

Angie on the phone... I don't know how she could hear anything!! One great part of the airshow is that it is so loud no one cares how loud our children are because they can't hear them over the jets engines!!
This is the demonstration of the STOVL F-35. It was hovering!! So cool. STOVL stands for Short Take Off Vertical Landing. We saw the short take off and hovering, but no vertical landing... Still impressive!
